THE PROBLEM
The tree clearing campaign had been running 20 years. Meanwhile, clearing rates in Queensland had skyrocketed. On par with
the Amazon and the Congo and growing rapidly.
But virtually no-one in Australia was aware of it.
With a state election around the corner, we had to urgently persuade everyday Australians to demand tough new laws in Queensland.
We created these infographics to help people comprehend the scale.

THE SOLUTION
We drove the strategic move to call this tree clearing problem what it is: deforestation.
To qualify this strong language, and get people engaged and invested, we had to expose this hidden crisis.
People needed to see what deforestation looks like and witness the sheer scale of it.
